Responsive website design for the Ice Age Trail Alliance, student project
The Ice Age Trail Alliance is responsible for conserving, creating, maintaining, and promoting the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. The trail stretches 1,200 miles through the varied landscapes of Wisconsin, roughly following the location of the terminal moraine from the last Ice Age. I've hiked around 100 of those 1,200 miles over the last few years and was able to use some of my personal photography from those hikes for this responsive website design project. In order to give this website redesign a rugged, outdoorsy feel, I used burned paper textures on my background images which also gives the edges the look of a mountainous skyline. Topographic map patterns also overlay the background in several places. I designed the website for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
